The Global Healthcare Innovations Alliance

The Global Healthcare Innovations Alliance is a strategic collaboration of hospital systems, academic institutions and corporate partners, unified in streamlining the development and commercialization of healthcare innovations.

The Alliance utilizes the strengths of each alliance partner by connecting clinical and research expertise, identifying unmet needs, structuring innovation, providing detailed assessment, and developing inventions that improve and extend the lives of patients.

Formed in 2011 as the Innovation Alliance Partnership, the Global Healthcare Innovation Alliance is a multilateral relationship between Cleveland Clinic and hospital systems, educational institutes and corporate partners across the country. This partnership was created to utilize each individual partner's unique capabilities to ultimately benefit the sick through new technology. Cleveland Clinic and Med Star Health first joined forces in 2011 and The University of Notre Dame, ProMedica, and The Innovation Institute followed in 2012. Marshfield Clinic became the newest Alliance Partner in 2013. The structure of the partnership is meant to break the silo mentality and connect the minds of people at similar institutions. This collaboration helps foster the mentality of innovation that Cleveland Clinic is already well-known for. CCI's long experience offers a 360° perspective to help Partners deliver the best products and services to the rest of the industry.
